The Technology Center at Beit Issie Shapiro has developed, in collaboration with SAP Labs, Israel, a number of apps to meet the needs of people with disabilities. IssieDice, is one of the apps borne out of this collaboration. The staff at Beit Issie Shapiro identify needs through their work with clients in the field and provide professional consultation to the development process, while the developers at SAP provide the technological and design expertise.
IssieDice is a customizable and accessible dice app, for iOS. It gives all people the opportunity to take part in game-play, whether they are able to hold dice or not. It doesn’t just replace conventional dice but also has unique customizable features making it a useful tool for teachers and therapists, as well, allowing them to create the exact dice they need for the game or activity they are playing.
