Around the world, families and children find themselves at home together, separated from their friends and familiar schedules, due to the Corona virus outbreak.
First, we want to let you know that the staff of The Technology Center at Beit Issie Shapiro are here for you, and available to help in any way that we can. We will be updating the blog regularly with ideas for activities you can do at home, such as fun and educational apps to play, computer games, simple adaptations for games to play at home, and more.
In addition to trying to maintain a routine for ourselves and our children, there is also opportunity for quality family time – playing games as a family or with other siblings, art projects, music, and more. Children learn and benefit from all these activities.
It may be a cliche but it still rings true: if they’re already in screen-time then let them at least play with quality apps and games. 🙂
So this time we have a recommended app for you.
Thinkrolls 1 & 2
This is a classic app that we continue to play on a regular basis with our students. It is essentially a maze in which the player has to manage different obstacles so their character to continue to move on. Each level encourages the children to plan, strategize, and problem solve. The characters are cute and engaging. The app is well designed such that both from a visual and from a motoric perspective it is easy to navigate and play.
